HATE
Welcome to Eäros, mortal soul.
Step closer, let me see you. You're one of those, aren't you? No matter. We willl find out soon enough.
Wondering where you are? This, mortal, is the plane of Earos, created and ruled over by a triumvirate of deities. I am the God of Hate, you shall meet the others once I'm finished... with you. No need to tremble, mortal, you would be of no use to me any more dead than you already are. Besides, there are many forms and manifestations of hate, not all of them violent. You will grow to understand that yourself, as all mortal things do.
Anyhow, where was I... Ah yes, the creation of the world. In the beginning, it was just the three of us: God of Hate, Goddess of lust and the God of Greed. A time before ours, we do not remember and none we met did, whether there was anything before our time, we may never know, if ever there was a time without us...
We created the lands and the skies and the waters first, playgrounds to be populated later by our various and numerous children. Our first experiments, the Titans and the Elementals, we hadn't yet infused with our essence. In a way, they are little more than extensions of nature, so don't expect stimulating conversations with them. But their hunger for destruction, delicous. Anyhow, after them came the beasts of thousands upon thousands of shapes - unlike their predecessors, they have needs and relations, but no sense of self, no morality - just a drive for self-preservation. Watching them gets boring so fast... and their killing, out of pure instinct, it just wasn't good enough, not brutal enough, not enough rage!
Finally we separated the Celestial Sphere from the Mundane, and divided it in half to the Heavenly and the Infernal Circles. This allowed us to experiment with morality in an isolated environment, and to create avatars of pure spirit energy, so that through them we would be able to walk amongst mortals if we so wished. These avatars became the Angels and the Demons, known collectively and among deniers of morality as Greater Celestials.
All other sentient races have within their mortal bodies a fragment of our mixed divine essence, most often referred to as the soul. Our first masterpiece was the noble race of the Dragons. The soul of the dragons came in equal parts from the three of us, but we soon realised that the dynamics of a society are much more interesting if balance is reached within groups rather than within individuals. You see Dragons were too perfect, too much balance, so they didn't need help from each other. To this day, they are utterly individualistic creatures, but having been dethroned by our newer creations, they took to harbouring hatred and disdain in their hearts - and I won't turn them away now, will I?
These days, the three of us started our own little experiments, which lead to races after our own desires. Mine were the Ogres – juggernauts of pure hatred. While I do still enjoy them to this day, I came to the realisation that pure rage, without intent, is not brutal enough. Their drive to violence rendert them emotionless. And then I made the orcs. The very pinical of evolution to this day!
Now, I would very much like to make you an orc, but alas, that is not my duty- and weak human souls are not exactly compatible with orcish physiognomy. However, I've arranged the possibility for you to be born as a half-blood of sorts... Just something to keep in mind for when you come to that bridge, will you?
But enough talk! I've been blabbering on and on, why didn't you say something?! Time to make some choices. Look at the boxes bellow you. They contain points, gold and most little something extra. You may open them all, but only keep the content of a single box. Any questions? No? Good then get to it!
Finally! Common, hurry up, we don't got all Eäos long! You should know that the attributes of your shell are almost wholly responsible for your strengths and weaknesses. Most mortal don't get a say in the pathetic shell they have to inhibit anyway. I will first offer you two choices. You can either allocate attributes to your soul randomly, the same way it happens to all other mortals of Earos and taht pitty plane you died in... Earth, is it? I will let you reroll for a prics. The other oh so boring option, seeing as your case is a little different, you can choose to balance your strengths and weaknesses as you desire. This latter option will leave you with slightly lower strengths, naturally, but you can worry about that later. So, which will it be, mortal?
The first, and, if you ask me, principal among them is strength. If you're expecting to be involved in physical altercations, I strongly recommend spending some points here. It also affects how much you can carry.
Well, common mortal. It's either Luck or Planning. Take your pick!

LUST
My, my, what have we here? Why, hello there, stranger! I'm afraid we aren't yet acquainted, but it's time we did something about that, wouldn't you agree? Well, allow me to bare myself to you... Figuratively speaking, of course! Oh dear, we will get along gorgeously. I am the Lady Lust, damsel of desire, alluring agent of arousal, caretaker of concupiscence, spirit of seduction; the orchestrator of orgies, matron of moans, befouler of bedsheets, and patron saint of perineal stimulation. The pleasure is all mine, but you'll find I am more than willing to share it with all those who keep their minds – and their legs – open. Oh, come now, don't be shy!
You would be all blushed and flushed now, wouldn't you, sweet cheeks? Not that I mind! What do you say we build you a body, hm? Something pretty, something... scrumptious. After all, what's the point of an existence robbed of the vast array of sensory pleasures achievable through a choice combination of your five senses? Come, come, I'll hold your hand once you have one - in fact, I'll hold anything you're not ashamed to shove at me.
These Races,I think you got an introduction, we created them for our pure entertainment. The further down, the older their existence. We don't really like the... more primitive Races anymore, so I have to ask you to stay within Humanoids. It's also a compatibility issue.

Body
I think you are attuned to the concept of ... Ah, you humans call them "Bodies". We will let you choose some specifications. Mhh if you need some help, any help, don't be afraid to ask. I will do my very, very best to please you in any way possible, promise.
Now darling, you need a new name. Tell me, what kind of sound would you like other humanoids to make, adressing you? Just uhm fill it in and leave it there.
And how old would you like to be when you appear in Eäros? We have a few rules for freshly intergrated souls, just make sure you are 18 or above, and I will handle the rest.
Very Well
For the next part I will give you some options. Your shell will have influence on decisions and stats. People will react differently, depending on how you look.

Ah finally mortal.. I thought you got lost in the ether of ethernity, never to be found again... Looking at that shell of yours it would have been a shame! Mh I know all kind of things we coul... Anyway, now that we have a proper Shell we need to refine your Character. Why won't we take a look into that pretty little skull of yours shall we...
You can choose out of a number of Sins and Virtues. I think it goes without saying that we approve both equally Sin, aswell as Virtue, so grabb them by your hearts desire. If we like what we see we might give you a small benefit, depending on your choices.

GREED
Yes, yes, I know that look. Pretence of disgust. Perhaps genuine, at least as far as you're concerned. Tell me, though, which of the three of us is present uniquely in creatures with not just a soul, but a sense of morality? Who among us is the pragmatic one? Whose influence is responsible for societal progress; what is the driving force behind every noble or ignoble intellectual pursuit? I see you're not convinced. Fair enough, let's take it a step further. We are in agreement at least in the fact that only races of heightened cognitive ability exhibit greedlike or greed-adjacent behaviours, correct? And you would argue that the relationship between them is correlative rather than causative, is that so? Surely, you wouldn't think they're coincidental - unless, of course, there's been a terrible mix-up, and you're just a scrawny ogre with baffling scholarly inclinations? No? Well, good. Better not act like it then, hm? Allow me to let you in on a little secret. I was not at all interested in the creation of Earos. I don't share my siblings' absurd interest in cosmic gardening or farming livestock. The reason they refer to me as their younger brother' has nothing to do with age - just didn't care to partake in their little project, until it got interesting. Sure, I'd created the goblins as a jest, a rather on the nose satire of my brother's unhinged orcs and my sister's sex-crazed succubi (although, as found out some time later, neither of them are completely without perspective); it is not my fault they are about as subtle as their creations, and so they took the joke seriously. Likewise, I was not terribly keen on engaging in the infinitely vain practice of creating my own races (goblins aside), especially since I'd already discovered your world. Well, the world that your soul came from, anyway. What? No, I wouldn't say stolen, but then again, I'm the only one with any semblance of tact or subtlety in this family. Or, indeed, critical thinking. Yes, I coordinated the transmigration of your soul to this plane, but 'stolen'? Everything can be stolen but the soul, and that is by definition.
All these trivials aside my siblings want me to introduce you to possible training opportuinties. Honestly so far only the weapons and armor training are working, they just are so lazy wen it comes to work. You can still wield a weapon that you lack the training in but don't expect to be effective. Armor, just stick to the stuff your trained in. Happy shopping Ex-Earthling.
